Female fronted Manchester metal, a rare thing? I’ve never heard any before Gone Til Winter. That being said, I wasn’t looking, but it’s impossible to avoid a band like GTW. Hard and heavy yet melodic as hell, with a unique ambient atmosphere to boot.
The band first started making some headway in 2007 and the following two years have really paid off for them, putting them at the forefront of the underground metal scene. Gone Til Winter’s self-titled E.P features the single “Hear Me” which is getting air-play all over the UK and Europe alike, and with rumours of the band currently working on new studio material, Gone Til Winter is definitely a band to check out if you already haven’t, and if you haven’t, why the fuck not?
